Reflex Chess

Puzzles sorted by rating instead of by pattern

Difficulty is the one variable that matters most in puzzle training and the one almost nobody sets deliberately.

Puzzles you cannot solve teach very little. You look, you fail, you read the answer, and you retain almost none of it, because the pattern never got attached to a moment of recognition. Puzzles you solve instantly teach almost nothing either. The band that works is the one where you get most of them and have to think about the rest, and it moves as you improve.

These four skills are cut from the same Lichess pool as every other page here, but selected by rating rather than by theme. Nothing is grouped, nothing is announced. Start on the rung below where you think you belong, and only move up when the current one has stopped being interesting.
